Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a pill you can take to protect you from acquiring HIV. PrEP can be 99% effective when taken correctly.

How does our PrEP service work?

Our PrEP service is designed to make protecting your sexual health simple and accessible. In this section, we’ll guide you through how to get started, what to expect during the process, and how we support you every step of the way.

Answer some questions online

Fill in a confidential online consultation form. If you prefer to speak to someone, you can request a call-back from a member of the clinical team.

We'll send you a test kit

Before we can give you PrEP medication, we need to make sure you don’t currently have HIV or Hepatitis B and we also need to check your kidney function. We will need these blood results back before we can start you on PrEP.

We screen your samples

Return your samples using the pre-paid postage through your nearest postbox. We have our own laboratory where our expert lab team screen your samples and get your results ready.

View your results online

Get a text or email when your results are ready. Once we have all your tests back, if they are all okay, we will then offer your PrEP medication through your SH:UK account.

PrEP Treatment

when ordering a repeat PrEP supply, we only ask a few questions to check nothing has changed since your last order.
