Adam Black

Specialist Sexual Health Nurse

Adam has worked for Preventx since 2024, with overall responsibility for the nursing and service user support teams. He works closely with the Medical Directors, nursing team and wider operational teams to deliver sexual health clinical expertise to service users and stakeholders.

Adam has over 25 years’ nursing experience and has held roles including Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, Health Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner, Senior Nurse, Clinical Nurse Manager and Nurse Consultant. He began working in sexual health in 2002.

He has a Master of Research degree in Clinical Practice and a PhD in Nursing Research, which explored how nurse prescribing facilitates advanced nursing practice.
