Dr John White

Medical Director

Dr. John White is a Consultant Physician in Sexual Health & HIV working in Northern Ireland as well as the Republic of Ireland. His previous clinical work in Sexual Health includes over 30 years working in Sydney, Edinburgh and London, and for 11 years he was Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of STD & AIDS.

His clinical and research interests include bacterial STIs, gbMSM sexual health and diagnostic tests for HIV/STIs. He has authored several BASHH UK guidelines and was lead author of the 2025 European guideline on the management of Chlamydia trachomatis infections as well as the 2026 UK Guideline for management of lymphogranuloma venereum.

He is passionate about educating and speaking on clinical sexual health and HIV medicine.
